Each term, Fraser Coast Regional Council hosts a breakfast for College Captains to allow them to contribute to the Council's decision-making around issues that affect young people in the region.
This term's event was held at St Mary's (thanks to our wonderful Hospitality students and staff) and examined recreation options for young people. They also looked at what makes Maryborough and the Fraser Coast attractive and unattractive to young people.
The council pointed out that many school leavers and people in their 20's leave Maryborough to move to Brisbane only to return in their 30's as they look for a great place to raise their own family.
